How Mom Went From Scooter to 5K
Paula’s Total Health Makeover – Week 2
How to Walk a 5k in 2 Weeks!
I cannot stress enough how you can completely transform your health in just a couple weeks by simply changing your foods from processed foods and meat to nutrient-rich foods. If my mother’s journey thus far hasn’t made you a believer, keep watching her transform until you are convinced. Learn how to walk a 5k by watching her progress from this week.
Before we started this journey, she’d tried everything her doctors and surgeons suggested. The prescriptions were piling up and she was getting worse rather than better. When you think about the fact that medicine doesn’t heal, it makes sense why she wasn’t getting any better. Medicine should be used integratively (if that’s a word) with nutrition to bring healing, not to just put a band-aid on symptoms. Then after the “side effects” start, you will often find that you need yet another medication to offset the previous. I’m sorry but that’s not how life should have to be lived. God made our bodies very intelligent so when you give your body what it needs, it heals. Sometimes it’s just that simple.
Check out Paula’s second week on her journey. If you want to know how to walk a 5k in just a few days, simply detox and eat a nutrient-rich diet before you start walking. I pray mom’s journey will encourage you to start your own journey to total healing:
Monday, 8/21/17 – walked 1 mile and only stopped to rest 3 times! She also had her first adjustment at the doctor and felt instant relief afterwards.
Tuesday, 8/22/17 – didn’t get much sleep through the night but she pushed herself to get up and, get this – walked 1.75 miles nonstop. Whoo-hoooo!!!
Thursday, 8/24/17 – walked at a faster pace 2.03 miles nonstop! Also the arthritis in her hands are noticeably improving now. She reported that she feels better and better each day.
Friday, 8/25/17 – walked 2.38 miles in 18 min/mile. And yes, you guessed it, non-stop baby! This has been her longest distance so far and it’s almost 2.5 times farther than she could walk just 4 days earlier. By the weekend, she could easily walk over 3 miles.
What an amazing week! Changing food alone has made a significant difference in her functionality as well as her overall health. I kid you not (I have the video footage to prove it), but she had to use the scooter to get around the market upon her arrival. My mother was lethargic when she first arrived and honestly, I was a little unsure about allowing her to do any activities until she was able to detox for at least 3 days first. She improves each day and I can’t wait to see what comes of this journey in another few weeks. Oh, I must also mention that she has lost at least 5 lbs so far. Yep!
